Grade 3 follicular lymphoma are often treated as lymphoma, diffuse large B-cell (DLBCL, an aggressive form) - The reason is because it is better associated with DLBCL, as it is of poor quality (grade 1 and 2) follicular lymphoma . The disease is fairly rapid progress and may make you sick in a hurry. Side effects of chemotherapy could be a problem, but most patients tolerate it well. Have completed worse than if the lymphoma chemotherapy got out of control. My oncologist is in accordance with the recommendations of national guidelines (see here: ...) to Section http://www.nccn.org/professionals/physic follicular lymphoma, and see note. The distinction between 3A and 3B are not yet clearly important for now.
